Our food hygiene rating
Our food hygiene rating is issued under the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) by our local authority environmental health team. Our current rating is displayed on this website and at the premises.
Food safety procedures
At Blueprint Kitchen we operate a rigorous food safety management system in compliance with UK food hygiene law. Our procedures cover:
Temperature control
- All chilled foods are stored at or below 5°C and frozen foods at or below -18°C.
- Hot food is cooked to a safe core temperature and held at or above 63°C during service.
- Temperature logs are checked and recorded daily.
Cross-contamination prevention
- Separate chopping boards and utensils are used for different food types (raw meat, fish, vegetables).
- Raw and ready-to-eat foods are stored separately.
- Surfaces and equipment are sanitised before and after each use.
Staff training
- All food handlers complete Level 2 Food Safety in Catering training before working with food.
- Refresher training is provided regularly.
- Staff experiencing symptoms of illness are not permitted to handle food.
Allergen management
- Full allergen records are maintained for every dish.

Cleaning and pest control
- A documented cleaning schedule is followed daily, weekly, and monthly.
- A professional pest control contractor carries out regular inspections.
